So here's a funny story. Last weekend, we had a long weekend at Columbia because they gave us Monday and Tuesday Election Day off, I went to visit the Nat in Seattle. So I flew out Friday morning, not to return 'till Wednesday morning... Early Friday, feeling crappy and sitting in the gate waiting area in Philly, I saw some kids playing Nintendo DS. One boy holding it, and showing his sister. They looked to be around 13. (This turned out true since they were 14 and 12, respectively). I went up to ask if they had Nintendogs. The boy said yes, and so I offered to give them my Dalmatian since it's a rare dog and hey, why not. So we played, and we got to talking and then it turned out we were all in the back of the plane (them and their dad and older sister too). So Cara (Caroline), the girl, sat near me and we played Nintendogs together a bit, and talked before napping. At the end of the flight I offered that she might be able to come see Nintendo with me (led by Nat). As it turned out, they were going to visit a cousin who LIVES in Redmond, so it was totally easy. They came, saw, and played. Much fun. They also decided to come to New York the following Friday, which is another story... Nintendo World is a really cool new shop which was recently opened in Rockefeller Center. It's another one of those big stores with one company's product, along the lines of M&M world and such in Times Square. Anyway, cuz it's Nintendo, it's way cooler, not soooo commercialized and crazy (it's still just a game store), not all touristy, and a bit away from the craziness of Times Square. So we went, this morning once they arrived from the airport at 125th st, we took the subway together and played for a few hours at Nintendo World. We all got to race in Super Mario DS, and I got to play some DDR Mario mix against Cara. Yay! They live in Pittsburgh so I probably won't see them again for a while, but it was fun to meet them and hang out.

In Seattle, I got to hang with Nat (yay!) and I got to participate in a huge game of CTF at UW. Yes, love acronyms. University of Washington students have a pretty large gathering of kids (about 40-50) on Saturday nights, 10:30pm - 1am. The flags are glow sticks, and since it was raining, we played inside a 6-level parking garage. Craziness man, craziness. IHOP afterwards was cool and I got to meet some friends of Nat's who go to Digipen. Nat and I also did such things as going to church, exactly the week that their beloved priest returned from his trip to climb Mt. Kilmanjaro, having nice dinner with his roomates, making okonomiyaki, and putting bookshelves in Nat's closet. So it was a really nice, really long weekend. I also had to spend a bunch of time studying, cuz when I got back Wednesday I had a test. Phew! This week is finally over. It seemed sorta like one long week since I was gone, and then it all ran into the end of the week and was confusing.

Anyway, time for a productive weekend. Tonight I hung out with my frisbee team, then went to do some homework and hang out with Jon Villines. Coolness. Tomorrow I'm gonna be playing a couple games of Ultimate at Yale, just as scrimmages, and then trying to get lots of work done. I want to get seriously ahead of what's going on right now so that when Thanksgiving comes I won't have a lot backed up. GaaanbarimashoouuuU~~~~

But what if your hard drive dies? You should really think about backing stuff up.
